^No idea. I've been working on the first set. Looks like each has an Omega version to it but the stats vary depending on the base wep you started with.

Can't you just dismantle a weapon to get the items back? I have not tried it myself. Leveling up Lightning's 2nd weapon like mad.

Not sure, may save and try that but I really want to just max out every weapon lol.

So far I've got 3 first weapons to star cap, and transformed one. When I transformed it, it didn't go to level 1, instead it went to 10 (From 21).

Chapter 11 is no joke. Never seen a game over faster then when I got attacked by 3 Behemoths, ouch.

So apparently on weapons. One may or may not be better than the other in the long-run but whatever you prefer based on the support abilities they provide/base stats they have.

It's one of the few Final Fantasies where you actually have to think while in battle. If you aren't paying attention to the situation and shifting gears, aka paradigms, you'll die a quick death. So it isn't mindlessly easy like some of the later ones have been. I haven't felt really cheated by the game like I might be in the older ones where the game just actively tried to break you down...but expect a punch in the teeth once you hit Chapter 11 and some things can kill you in one shot. Oh and losing the fight because your leader dies, is gay. Oh and everything is a HP tank...if you don't attack until to build up the chain to cause double damage, fights take forever.

The story...is good. Only one of the characters hasn't been fleshed out much, albeit thanks to memory loss but the rest have each had their share of the story. The story isn't the most cheery in the world and you can kind of feel the weight of hopelessness that haunts most of the characters. Not as bad as FF2 where people drop like flies but tough nonetheless.

The music...is hit or miss. There will be some tracks you like and then others that will...eh. There is a lot of haunting or otherwise kind of depressing music which fits with the story...so I guess in one aspect it works, but man, not a lot of fun to listen to.

Game is gorgeous. Even on a SDTV it looks great so I can't even imagine how it'd look on a HDTV. The character models look great, well except the females who look far too thin, it's kind of unnerving but that's just me.

Linear like hell, up until you get to Chapter 11...where the difficulty ramps up. This one did annoy me because sometimes you need a break from the story and do some side quests or minigames...or what not. And the game basically laughs at you and forces you along. And I'm one of those people who tends to drift from the storyline to go explore and do stuff and the game wouldn't let me for quite a while. Kind of a shame because I think there is so much of the world I wanted to see.

In short, it's a good and solid game but it has its flaws. I almost feel as if it's a love it/hate it kind of game like FF8 turned out to be. The battle system is a nice addition (Even though I had no issues with the Gambit system) and the story is solid but there is still some things I don't care for. And no, I haven't got a chance to play FF4 DS. I will eventually!

Opps, sorry about that. I'd love to play it but...that's not enough of an incentive to get me to buy a Wii again.

Why is Hope casting Barfira on me.

This is why I hate AI. I want him to cast protect and shell, but now he's casting stuff I don't want him to and I have to wait, meanwhile a motorcycle destroys me.

Lol, did you Libra the motorcycle?

They tend to cast the most potential life saving move first, followed by recently learned abilities next.

They attack more often than they cast Ice. I'm fighting a motorcycle and two soldiers. Physical attacks are by far the predominant attack of the three enemies, but Hope is casting Barfira and Bar...Icera before Protect. It's silly. I'm taking far more damage than I should be, having to switch to another Paradigm to heal, when he should be casting protect first.

Also, in this instance, wouldn't Shell be BETTER than barfira/baricera separately?

I guess shell would be good at the offchance of being attacked by both before you can get them up, but I noticed the Bar spells significantly cut the damage where ass Shell more-less softens it. Shell PLUS a Bar spell is insane damage reduction.

How about you manup and kill them before they kill you!? Jokes lol. Don't know if you're losing or just taking damage but I guess you could roll with Torn's strat to avoid stuff for now. I liked the CP/chance at items too much to pass a fight up though lol.

Really it's kind of annoying that it sticks you with just 2 people parties for a while, ugh. You could also try using the Sentinel to absorb it while you fire away...just remember to have the one accessory that doubles the potency of potions if you don't want to shift to a different scheme.

I'm not losing, it's just making me have to stop attacking a lot more than I would like which makes chain goes down, which makes battles last a lot longer. I'm not avoiding fights, which would make being more efficient great. If you do stuff wrong, it takes awhile to beat enemies.

I'm not to a place where I have Sentinel yet, and if that accessory is available I must have missed it. I just got to Sunleth Waterscape with Whackness and Sazh.

Ah yeah, missed it then. Early on. I don't like using pots though. Too costly. That's upgrade money!

Taejin's Tower...if this place comes even close to the length of the Tower of the Pharos or the Giruvegan+Great Crystal...I'm going to be ticked off. Just looking at it spells doom.
