Welcome to the boards! You should for sure check out the community gatherings thread and the sfco fight for flights thread. Fight for flights is in your area where we hold our gatherings and there is a casual meetup session planned for Saturday night. We always love seeing new faces so if you can come on out and meet everybody.

Cthulhu32:...I also have a WIP Mame cabinet in my garage. I've been playing SSF4:AE for PC off and on, I play CPS2 and Neo-Geo games over Supercade when I'm feeling up for old-school competition, and I just recently picked up UMvC3 for X360. I'm totally down for getting together for some local game sessions...

You know you're gonna have to set up a lil' gathering at your place now, right? :D

Also, add yourself on the google spreadsheet with your gamertags so we can play ya online.

Alright, added my nick and X360 gamer tag. I haven't had a gold account in a while, but maybe its time I get one again. Here's my steam page: http://steamcommunity.com/id/cthulhu32 for SSF4:AE play on PC.

Hah yeah I need to get my MAME cabinet up and running again. I blew out the PS/2 port on the old PC in there when I was setting up my Perfect360 sticks on the I-pac :( I also got a small home theater that comfortably seats 4 with a nice 5.1 setup. Maybe next weekend I'll try to setup a small gathering or something, I can't make this weekends meet-up unfortunately.

Hey guys, well this is my first post here and so far the Colorado community looks promising, I have been in Denver for about 12 years, been back for 1 and lived in Japan for the last 4 years. I play pretty much any fighting game and if I haven't played it I would love to try it. As far as games that I play on a serious level, I am a decent SSFIV AE player and am just getting into KoF13. I also have pretty much every KoF game since 97 in my ps2 collection. My ultimate and probably best fighting game is 3rd Strike, I can't help it but I love that game so much (I want Alex in another game just for a remix of Jazzy NYC lol) Anyway guys feel free to add me on the xbox and the PS3 I have SSFIV AE on both so I that isn't a problem, and my gametag is the same for both, specter55393

Well I have to say that just from browsing this site that everyone here seems very helpful and always up for some matches so if you wanna play something just let me know.

So a fellow NeoGAF member(Chavelo) told me about the scene. I just recently moved out here to Colorado and am out in Thornton.

I'm not sure how I would rank myself in terms of skill, but I plan to come out to the tournament on March 17th and see how I fair and maybe introduce myself to some of you.

My GT and what I'll enter as is Outlaw Slevin. (zlatko is my real name/GAF ID)

Looking forwarded to meeting some of you guys on the 17th. :)

    GAF x EFL!

Good to see ya around, zlatko. I'll add ya and maybe we can do a few sets on Marvel. I'm still thinking on what console I want to get SFxTekken for, though.

How many members do we have already over there (GAF), btw? :O

GAF 360 is large and consistent. PSN GAF has a few die hards. When a new game hits they have a large population spike, but after 2 weeks it dies down to a few of the same guys.

360, while a bit more spread out since there is no chat room, is a lot of players, and will get you chances to take on guys like Arturo for example. Kadey streams both PSN and 360 lobbies of games, but as far as I know a lot of the top players are just on 360, and so if they jump in on Kadey's stuff you can find some super good games.

Besides you could fight me on 360 and we could level up hard and body everyone at PayBack 3. :D

@Logos Thanks man. :P Shout outs to being born in Europe to get cool names haha.

I usually go with 360 for the online and GAF community, but for some reasons my close friends get the PS3 versions which makes things a bit difficult (I have both PS3 and 360 sticks, but we live kinda far from each other...)

I'll prolly just go with 360, tho. Pretty sure that Megaman and Pac-Man will be timed exclusives anyway :P

I'll add you later this weekend (GT: ADChavelo), and it sounds like a plan to do some sessions online. I'm also down if you want to meet up before the 17th for some offline sets. :)

Hey everyone! I'm new to the forums, just looking for people to kick back and game with. Lived in CO pretty much my whole life and I'm glad I found a place where people share my passion. As of now I'm playing marvel, sfxt, and ssf4, most of my time is spent on the first two though. I'm the only person I know who plays fighting games as sorry as that is haha but I'm looking to change that, and I'm very much looking forward to learning more from you guys! I'm on xbl at the moment, working on getting another stick for ps3 though. Gamertag is ThermoRage, feel free to add me! Thanks!

Nice, thanks for the invite! Can't make it tonight unfortunately but I'll keep my eyes posted for the next gathering and show up for that. I live 5 minutes south of Denver so I'll definitely try to make it out to the Denver events.

Hello everyone. I'm a Denver resident and have recently rediscovered my interest in fighting games. I spent most of the 90's standing around in an arcade and basically lost interest as the popularity of console games began to rise. I wasn't married to any one franchise and played pretty much any fighter I could get my hands on, but my favorites were Tekken (mostly 2 and 3) and the vs. series (mostly XSF and MvC).

Cut to today. Since I have a PS3 that was basically used only to play Blu-ray and was curious, I decided to see what more recent fighters looked like. I got the latest versions of everything I could get my hands on and went through a bunch of different controllers (I settled on the Hitbox), and now I'm happily mashing away on AE2012, UMvC3, T6, MK9, SG, SFxT, VF5:FS and others.

I've probably spent more time on UMvC3 than anything else recently, but I like most of the games I mentioned above and I'm looking forward to TTT2. I'm one of those players that spends probably 10:1 time in the lab practicing vs. playing online in any of the games I play. I'm open to some online matches to help me get back into the more competitive aspects, but I don't find the "random anonymous opponent for single match" stuff (which seems to be the standard on most of the online modes of today's games) to be particularly rewarding. The competitive aspects of this game lose a lot of their appeal for me when they're made so impersonal.

Naturally doing what I do it didn't take me long to reach the point where I identified huge flaws in my playstyle and wanted to improve. The gradual improvement process was one of the most rewarding aspects of these games when I used to play. Unfortunately, my old method of discussing strategy with a small group of local arcade regulars all evening and then spending all night on Usenet newsgroups isn't really the most effective these days despite my best efforts to mimic thousands of youtube videos, which brings me here. I found this forum via the Colorado thread on SRK and joined to meet some people and hopefully find some local events to attend.
