Great, we have a second keyboard(-esque) player. Roogle will be happy. ;)

Probably want to look at that Secret Warz on June 30 for our next main gathering. The KrsJin thread will be good also if you're into VF5 and/or KoFXIII and want to meet up for those.

And most of all: Welcome! Glad you found us!

    Welcome to EFL, sir. :D

Local Events coming up: Secret Warz - http://www.extrafresh.net/forum/comments.php?DiscussionID=1814&page=1

For gatherings, KRSJin is having a KOF night today: http://www.extrafresh.net/forum/comments.php?DiscussionID=1817&page=1#Item_10

EDIT: Beaten by Ryu... do... or something like that. Can't spell it. PROFOUND SADNESS
At least I got links. :3

Where in Denver are you located?

I'm down to start up a little UMVC3 setup at my place, though all I have is a PS3/360 with a CRT monitor to practice on and a pretty LCD TV that I'm pretty sure that screws me up with some input lag.

Thanks all for the kind words and warm welcome! I am in the Capitol Hill area near downtown. I'll definitely check out the threads mentioned above, although it's likely I will be out of town the weekend of the 30th (in addition to the fact that I don't own a 360 and don't think my Hitbox is compatible). If I'm in town I will definitely try to attend.

I've spent a little time on the new VF but not much, and my exposure to KOF13 has been limited to downloading it (the demo) on PSN, buying the disc, playing it for about six straight hours, recognizing that they've added a lot of complexity since KOF'95 in addition to changing a couple of familiar characters' movesets, and going back to practicing C.Viper's IAD in UMvC3 the next night while watching KOF tech on youtube. I have been meaning to dust it off again now that I've plateaued on my UMvC3 play, but VF is all shiny right now and I have a short attention span (a fact which I suspect contributes to why the vs. series was always one of my favorites).

I'm still digesting all the information in this forum so forgive me if this is obvious, but do people still play Tekken much? I liked T6, but I don't hear many people talking about Tekken at all outside of speculation regarding TTT2. I guessed that this had more to do with there being a sudden influx of new games released in the last year than anything else, but maybe the game just wasn't solid enough to create that type of long-term support that games like MvC2 did.

People here don't really play tekken much. The last tournament that it was at was back in september of last year (locally speaking of course.) Welcome to EFL, hopefully we'll cya at one of the gatherings and or tournaments! If you wanna check out how the scene is, definitely hit up krsjin's place tonight. I'm still awful at KoF, but I attend :P. Also, I play AE on keyboard occasionally since i have it on PC, so i know the struggle of learning keyboard. Hopefully we'll cya soon!

People play Tekken. T6 is ancient now and most have been looking forward to TTT2 for a long time now.

People here don't really play anything other than marvel much lately

But I'm sure once TTT2 comes out we'll see a lot of interest again. Welcome aboard!

Welcome aboard, It is always nice to have a new multi game player! The only issue that I might forsee is that your hitbox might be PS3 only. A majority of tournaments here are run on 360. We do have some local modders here that can set your hitbox up for a dual mod if it is in fact set to PS3 only right now.

Sorry you will be unable to make it to secret warz, But we will have more events after evo that I hope to see you at.

    Enjoy your stay :D

From a tournament number perspective clearly marvel is the game right now. But colorado plays EVERYTHING. I mean we even have a wargods pro, KLT.

War Gods was alright, but the one I was always the most upset never turned into a franchise was Psychic Force. A little game engine development on that title could have really pushed the envelope of fighting games.

Hey everybody. I'm kind of new to the fighting game community, but started to get interested in it when sf4 came out, and just learned about efl recently at the denver comic con. Everybody seems really nice and helpful here, and I hope I can level up by getting more involved in the community and attend some events.

I'll definitely try and make it but I got to figure out if I got to work the entire day on saturday. I still need to mod my stick though so I can play on the x box.

Don't worry too much about that, I still haven't modded my stick but there's tons of them around at tournaments.
